Question #259
Does God recognize a marriage between two unbelievers?
Does God recognize a marriage between two “unbelievers” (or that have not been baptized)?
The Answer:
Yes. God’s moral law is universal applying to all mankind. While a lengthy discussion could be given for all men being under the law of God, Romans 3:23 establishes the truth: “ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” The Gospel is addressed to all men. Mark 16:15-16. As a result, all men will be judged by the Word of Christ. John 12:48; Acts 17:30-31; Matt. 25:32.
