Question #215
One more time, isn’t baptism a work? We aren’t saved by works, right?
Sincere and well-meaning lover of God’s Word, you’re wrong about baptismal regeneration. baptism is a work, a very good and obedient work indeed, a commanded one that every christian ought to follow. but it is a work- and all bible-believers know that salvation is by faith alone, sola fide, not by works, lest any man boast that by obeying this law he was saved. salvation must not, in any part be dependent on a man, otherwise- to the degree that it is- God’s glory is diminished as well as His grace. God will not share His glory with any man. God is never a debtor to any sinful wicked man, whose heart is deceitful above all things. no no no, you have it all wrong in your wooden interpretation of a few verses, and your failure to compare scripture to scripture. i pray you will lead no one astray. God’s word is indeed truth, that is why ephesians 2:8 and 9 and acts 2:38 are not contradicting, you are. repent of your sin, lest you further offend God, and after making false converts who trust in their works for salvation, they become twice the child of hell for believing your works-gospel. the blood for this would then be on your head (ezekiel 33). may God bless you, and show you the same tender mercy that he has to this sinner.
