Question #352
Do you use the NASB or NIV?
I notice that your work is completed in the KJV or the Revised Bible. Do you have any of your studies done in the NASB ©1995 or NIV translations? I didn’t see any on your website.
The Answer:
The translations used most are the King James, New King James, American Standard of 1901, and the English Standard. The New American Standard of various publications, including 1995 has been used some. The New International is not used because, being a thought for thought rather than a word for word translation, it is more of a commentary than a translation (and not a very good commentary). These and many others are used in the study of the scripture in preparation of lessons.
