Question #88
Is it a sin to listen to religious music on the radio?
've read the posts on using music in worship. Copying and pasting from a response of yours: “First, the music that is in view here is the music of worship. It makes no difference whether the music is the corporate worship of the assembly or private worship in the home or elsewhere. Wherever there is worship, it must be acapella.” So am I in the wrong and sinning when I listen to Christian radio particularly KLOVE? I’ve been taking the point that it’s better than listening to Country, Rock, or any other form of music on the radio. If you could please help me out on this dilemma I would appreciate it.
The Answer:
For answer to this question please read the questions discussed in Question 35. You are certainly correct that there is much better music to listen to than much of what is heard these days. Of course, much of so-called Christian music has its problems as well, but on the whole it does make for better listening.
